Manager, Transportation Programs III

Chewy is seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented, dedicated Manager, Transportation Programs III to join our exciting and fast-paced Transportation team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving, an interest in driving cross-functional initiatives, and a focus on making data-driven decisions. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will lead a team responsible for end-to-end outbound transportation routing from strategy to execution, finding ways to reduce transportation cost while improving transportation speed and reliability to our customers. What you’ll do:

• Lead the outbound transportation routing strategy, execution, and monitoring for the entire Chewy network


• Lead a team of analysts and program manager. Assist in setting appropriate prioritization for team in alignment with broader organizational goals; delegates work effectively in alignment with priorities.


• Develop strategies for how to optimize the OB transportation network for both transcost and speed to customer, given warehouse and carrier constraints.


• Partner with tech and operations teams to improve our ability to implement changes, monitor performance, and fix issues to our transportation routing network.


• Collaborate with Finance to create OB transportation budget plans and adherence


• Support our procurement team on transportation carrier sourcing initiatives

What you’ll need:

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or equivalent


• 6-8+ years of Supply Chain/Transportation experience


• Extensive knowledge of transportation, supply chain, and warehouse operations


• Ability to collaborate with cross functional partners, influence decisions, and recommend a course of action based on data analytics


• Ability to drive process improvement by implementing checks and balances and identifying process steps that can be automated


• Detail oriented and possess superior organizational, self-motivation and problem-solving skills


• Tenacity pursuing issues and strong sense of urgency to correct/improve


• Ability to think strategically, big picture, and connect the dots, both short and long term


• Solid understanding of data analysis including advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Tableau


• Previous managerial responsibility of a team is a plus


• Startup experience is a plus
