Location: Des Moines, IA | Schedule: Full-Time
We are seeking a Supervisor of Trauma Services to provide clinical and operational leadership for our Trauma Services program in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, quality performance, regulatory compliance, trauma registry management, and staff development while driving excellent patient outcomes across the care continuum.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Trauma Services staff; provide daily leadership, performance management, education, and support.
Develop, implement, and maintain trauma policies and procedures in compliance with Joint Commission, ACS, and IDPH standards.
Lead performance improvement initiatives using clinical, quality, and satisfaction data.
Maintain oversight and accountability for the Trauma Registry, including data integrity, reporting, and validation.
Participate in annual budgeting and operational planning aligned with organizational strategy.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality trauma care.
Support trauma education programs (TNCC, ATLS, ATCN) and community outreach initiatives.
Represent the organization in state and national trauma-related committees and organizations.
Qualifications
Current Iowa or compact state RN license.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of trauma nursing experience.
Critical care experience and specialty certification (CCRN, CEN, TCRN, or similar) preferred.
