The Liquidity Risk Management team is a part of the Global Treasury Organization at American Express. The team’s core objective is to ensure the company meets its regulatory liquidity needs by forecasting the company’s regulatory liquidity requirements, collaborating with the funding team to ensure timely funding of those needs, and performing stress testing to ensure the company remains compliant with all regulatory liquidity requirements on an ongoing basis.

This manager role is an amazing opportunity to take responsibility for performing all regulatory liquidity risk management forecasting, stress testing, analytics, and governance activities as American Express recently migrated from a Category IV bank to a Category III bank & is expected to migrate to Category II in coming years.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Perform LCR, NSFR, LST and other LRM processes and present to various Treasury management meetings.


• Perform analysis and review of liquidity assumptions, methodologies and processes for liquidity sources and uses for LCR, NSFR and LST. Support ongoing evolution and maintenance of the liquidity assumptions.


• Develop and monitor liquidity metrics to help senior management identify and manage emerging liquidity risks.


• Support preparation of key committee materials and preparation of documentation.


• Support analysis of new products and product changes to assess impact on liquidity metrics and reporting requirements.


• Support the company's LRM policy refresh and supporting internal control group reviews and regulatory exams.


• Work with Bank Legal Entity Management teams to provide SME support for LRM at regulated entities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years Finance/Treasury experience.


• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field is required. 


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate closely effectively with internal and external business partners.


• Ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing priorities effectively and drive results while meeting critical deadlines.


• An analytical approach with a strong attention to detail, coupled with strong process management skills and ability to drive improvements.


• Able to analyze large data sets and summarize results for management.


• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate degree is a plus.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
