About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Business Development to spearhead sales growth and service quality within an assigned territory. The successful candidate will be directly involved in prospecting and customer interactions, as well as managing Account Managers within the region. Responsibilities include researching, developing, and executing a strategic business development plan, expanding business with local and national accounts, and performing face-to-face sales calls. The role also involves identifying market trends, advocating for action to maximize opportunities, and ensuring a positive customer service perception. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, at least 5 years of sales experience, 4 years of management experience, and a proven track record in sales, account management, and business expansion.Applicants must possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor a team, and have experience in contract negotiation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and prior experience with a multi-unit organization is preferred. The role demands excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to build relationships with a diverse employee population, and the capacity to manage multiple complex projects effectively. The candidate should be a strategic thinker, adept at problem-solving, and have a solid background in change management. The position requires up to 50% travel and a valid driver's license.
