About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Sourcing and Procurement, with a focus on indirect categories. The successful candidate will be a key member of the client services team, leading and managing the indirect sourcing and procurement business function. This role involves overseeing a team of procurement professionals, engaging with client stakeholders, and ensuring the achievement of aggressive category management plans, operational redesign, process improvements, and savings goals. The Managing Director will also be responsible for establishing the overall indirect spend governance structure and leading the procurement transformation program to deliver immediate and ongoing client value.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a preference for those from retail and consumer-facing industries. Strong financial acumen, a proven track record in managing vendors and high-value contract negotiations, and the ability to drive operational and organizational change are essential. The role requires a disciplined negotiator, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels. Proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to travel occasionally are also necessary. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of both leading at a strategic level and being a hands-on contributor.
