As Pharmacy Manager, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, lead a team of pharmacists, technicians, and support staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and help drive exceptional patient care while maintaining operational excellence. What You'll Do
Leadership & Operations
Lead the daily operations of the pharmacy while promoting a culture of patient safety, teamwork, and accountability.
Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
Create efficient staffing plans that balance excellent patient service with operational performance.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and recognize employee achievements.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented work environment.
Patient Care & Clinical Excellence
Ensure accurate prescription processing, verification, and dispensing while maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy practice.
Serve as the primary resource for escalated patient concerns and complex pharmacy issues.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Partner with the Director of Clinical Services to implement and grow:
Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
Clinical pharmacy programs
Immunization services
Pharmaceutical care initiatives
Additional patient-focused healthcare services
Quality & Compliance
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations.
Monitor quality metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Develop and maintain pharmacy best practices and standard operating procedures.
Ensure team members receive ongoing education regarding workflow changes, regulatory updates, and clinical initiatives.
Team Development
Train, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff to achieve individual and team success.
Communicate organizational goals and departmental priorities effectively.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Partner with leadership across the organization to improve workflows and patient satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License in good standing
Wisconsin Immunization Certification
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
Preferred Qualifications
3–5 years of pharmacy leadership or management experience
Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software
Experience with Google Workspace
Strong background in workflow optimization and quality improvement
Knowledge of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and clinical pharmacy services
Interest in preventative healthcare, wellness, and nutraceuticals

Work Environment
This position primarily works in a retail pharmacy environment requiring frequent interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff. The role involves standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
