About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Alhambra, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Alhambra, CA
• Schedule: 3 sessions for 2 hours each
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with high school students with autism in special education settings.
• Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese, with strong English proficiency.
• Special education certification preferred.
• Ability to create a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment.
• Strong communication and behavior management skills tailored to autistic learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted support in high school-level English, math, science, and writing aligned with IEP goals.
• Assist in developing executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, and task completion.
• Use patient, structured teaching methods to reduce anxiety and maintain focus.
• Incorporate frequent breaks and verbal praise to support motivation and emotional regulation.
• Communicate regularly with family and school staff about progress and challenges.
