Position Overview
The MAWM Product Manager will serve as the primary Product Owner and subject matter expert for Manhattan Active Warehouse Management initiatives.
This individual will work closely with warehouse operations, supply chain leadership, engineering, solution architecture, QA, integration teams, and business stakeholders to define product strategy, prioritize capabilities, manage the Agile backlog, and deliver scalable warehouse management solutions.
Candidates must have hands-on Manhattan Active WM experience. Legacy Manhattan experience alone — including WMOS, WM2013, or PkMS — will not be sufficient.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Manhattan Active Warehouse Management capabilities.
Align MAWM product priorities with business objectives, warehouse operations, customer needs, and supply chain strategy.
Partner with warehouse operations and supply chain leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation.
Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements and translate them into:
Product features
User stories
Functional requirements
Acceptance criteria
Own and manage the MAWM product backlog, ensuring priorities are aligned with business value and technical objectives.
Lead backlog refinement/grooming, sprint planning, feature prioritization, UAT, and release planning.
Collaborate closely with engineering, solution architecture, QA, implementation, and integration teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
Drive product enhancements across core warehouse processes, including:
Inbound
Receiving
Put-away
Inventory management
Replenishment
Picking
Packing
Shipping
Cycle counting
Returns
Labor optimization
Partner with integration teams to ensure effective connectivity between MAWM and enterprise systems such as:
OMS
ERP
TMS
Warehouse automation
Third-party applications
Define product success metrics and monitor operational KPIs.
Use data, operational feedback, and stakeholder input to continuously improve MAWM capabilities.
Lead user acceptance testing and ensure features meet business and operational requirements.
Communicate product vision, roadmap, priorities, risks, and delivery progress to executive stakeholders.
Serve as the primary MAWM Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product and transformation initiatives.
Support MAWM implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and warehouse transformation programs.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Supply Chain Technology.
Demonstrated experience in a true Product Manager / Product Owner / Product Lead capacity.
Hands-on Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM) experience is required.
MAWM experience must be demonstrated in actual project responsibilities, not only listed in a skills section.
Experience with MAWM implementations, upgrades, enhancements, or large-scale warehouse transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including:
Receiving
Put-away
Inventory
Replenishment
Picking
Packing
Shipping
Returns
Cycle counting
Proven experience managing product roadmaps and Agile backlogs.
Experience with:
Backlog grooming/refinement
Sprint planning
Feature prioritization
Release planning
UAT
Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), or similar platforms.
Experience working directly with engineering, architecture, QA, and implementation teams through the software development lifecycle.
Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
Ability to influence both business and technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating MAWM with OMS, ERP, TMS, automation systems, or other enterprise supply chain platforms.
Experience with cloud-based supply chain applications.
Understanding of modern API/integration architectures.
Experience in retail, e-commerce, distribution, or omnichannel fulfillment.
Experience with large-scale warehouse transformation programs.
Manhattan Active certifications are a plus.
