Job Title: Inclusion Camp Coordinator
Location: Harlem, NY
Duration: June 15-30 (preparation) AND July 1-26 (camp)
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Overview:
The Inclusion Camp Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the special education program within the camp and monitor the performance of all providers. This role requires experience in running camps or school programs for children with disabilities. The Coordinator will ensure that therapists, including teachers, BCBAs, and related providers, are effectively supporting campers with relevant goals and taking data billing for their time.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive special education program for the Inclusion Camp, focusing on social skills and behavioral goals for children with disabilities. (Framework already created but open to change)
Create a schedule for therapists (BCBAs and Behavior Technicians) and ensure they are working with campers on relevant goals.
Monitor the performance of all providers and ensure they are meeting the needs of campers.
Serve as a liaison between Teamwork Healthcare leadership, Legacy Youth Organization, and the Inclusion Camp, facilitating communication and collaboration between the two organizations.
Be the “on the ground” point of contact for campers’ families, Teamwork leadership, and Legacy Youth Organization
Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure a safe, fun, and effective environment for campers and their families.
Manage a maximum of 25 campers aged 4-9, splitting them into groups throughout the day as needed. (There will be 2:1 ratio for direct therapists and a 5:1 ratio for supervisors who will be present weekly)
Utilize CentralReach or similar software to facilitate data collection and billing.
Qualifications:
Experience running camp or school programs (Preferred if the population was children with disabilities)
Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, and other disabilities.
Knowledge of special education principles and practices.
Experience working with BCBAs, Behavior Technicians, and/or other related providers.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Experience with CentralReach or similar billing software is a plus
