2nd Shift - Manufacturing Assistant - $18/hr, Grand Rapids, MI

Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of machine shop equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Accurate tape measuring and mathematical skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills with or without use of a calculator.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Meet or exceed the expectations of our customers by providing a positive customer experience.
- Accurate use of tape measure
- Ability to read and interpret weld layout sheets
- Ability to read and interpret hanger sheets
- Safely move pipe and use saws and grooving machines, for processing pipe
- Perform assembly operations as needed
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the foreman.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
- Perform preventive machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Operate all material handling equipment safely while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
In this role you will be loading, driving, and unloading materials to fulfill customer and company needs. This will include the layout, cutting, and grooving pipe to meet customer expectations, along with building small assemblies for customer orders. Once your contract is completed with Workbox Staffing, you will be hired permanently!
