Your Next Pour: The Opportunity
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Trades 5 Electrician to support our E&I team. This role will be responsible for installing,â¯maintaining,â¯and repairing complex automatic controls, generating equipment, transformers, motor control centers, and related electrical equipment, including PLC’s and VFD’s.â¯
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Plan,â¯layoutâ¯and perform a wide range of installation, repair, and maintenance operations on a full range of electrical equipment and circuitry throughout the plant.â¯
- Install,â¯maintainâ¯and repair complex automatic controls, generating equipment, transformers, motor control centers, and related electrical equipment, including PLC’s and VFD’s.â¯
- Install,â¯maintainâ¯and repair motors and power distribution systems, including transformers, motor starters,â¯switchgearâ¯etc.â¯
- Perform soldering asâ¯requiredâ¯for installations or repairs.â¯
- Perform troubleshooting of PLC’s and usingâ¯PLC’sâ¯for troubleshooting of electrical systems.â¯
- Program and troubleshoot VFD’s using HIM module and / or other tools or software.â¯
- Haveâ¯basicâ¯understandingâ¯of the National Electric Code and other reference materials and charts.â¯
- Be familiar with and capable of,â¯operatingâ¯and working in a Bucket Truck and / or man-lift.â¯
- Be able to read and understand Technical Manuals.â¯
- Have mathâ¯skills asâ¯needed for measuring and calculating electrical formulas.â¯
- Follow drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, and schematics.â¯
- Be able toâ¯identifyâ¯electrical components and follow wiring diagrams.â¯
- Have basic knowledge or PC’s,â¯printersâ¯and associated software (Windows, Word, Excel,â¯etc…).â¯
- Perform material procurement duties using CMMS.â¯
- Be familiar with and have the ability to carry and use hand and power tools.â¯
- Diagnose and remedy problems using test equipment and service manuals.â¯
- Intermediate PLCâ¯troubleshooting includingâ¯both discrete and analog devices using RSLogix5 and RSLogix500.â¯
- Disassemble units,â¯determineâ¯extent of trouble, repair or replace components, reassemble, and adjust for proper operation.â¯
- Be able to understand, repair/replace VFD’s, smart valves, and other technically advanced equipment.â¯
- Understand how food process systems and packaging equipment work.â¯
- Perform basic troubleshooting of field device networks (ControlNet,â¯DeviceNet, and Ethernet) using laptop, HMI, and field techniques.â¯
- Accomplish work independently with a minimum of interference or delay to production.â¯
- Follow prescribed food and safety regulations.â¯
- Perform other related duties assigned by management.â¯

The Perfect Blend: Experience
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Electrical & Instrumentation field, equivalent formal training plus experience, or equivalent related experience.â¯
Foundational Ingredients: Requirements
- Must be located in Fort Pierce, FL, surrounding area, or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
- Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
