Join our team as a Manufacturing Coordinator I!
The Manufacturing Coordinator I helps the production team achieve on time delivery by being the primary liaison between Customer Success, Production, Purchasing and Shipping.
Shift: M-Fri 1-9pm
What you will do
- Manage daily manufacturing queues and prioritize orders, including large-quantity, expedited, and remake jobs.
- Support on-time delivery by identifying material constraints and coordinating BOM or scheduling adjustments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Toolpathing, Tech Ops, and CQEs to resolve order, build, and quality issues.
- Provide special support for strategic customers and high-priority orders.
- Partner with Customer Service to address late orders, ship holds, due-date changes, and customer inquiries.
- Monitor labor, equipment, and demand to recommend capacity and machine allocation adjustments.
- Help manage inventory-related issues, including supply shortages, discrepancies, vendor returns, and production supplies.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts while serving as a resource for systems/process support, including AX and software issue escalation.
What it takes
- Solid understanding of Order Management
- Customer Service skills and experience working across different departments
- Experience with Inventory control and using an ERP system (ideally Microsoft AX)
- Solid understanding of production processes and equipment
- Strong information technology skills and knowledge and ability to learn new systems
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions or recommendations
- Ability to work across functions to coordinate activity and solve problems
- Attention to detail
- Able to deal with ambiguity and function well in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to use influence to achieve positive results
- Experience in a manufacturing environment

$23.97 - $31 an hour
Protolabs offers a competitive total rewards package, and compensation mix vary based on position, such as base wage, as well as other earnings including incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications.

Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
