Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading specialty manufacturing operation in Catoosa, OK. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency through workflow optimization, process development, and strategic equipment layout design. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on engineering expertise, and the ability to drive operational excellence across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space utilization, and equipment layout.
• Optimize production operations through redesign of assembly methods, equipment placement, and workforce utilization.
• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing production methods.
• Evaluate current processes by conducting research and applying knowledge of product design, tooling, and materials.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors and operators to ensure quality and functionality of manufacturing systems.
• Direct and implement project objectives, planning, and execution to meet strategic goals.
• Analyze assembly, fabrication, machining, and related manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities.
• Prepare process reports and time studies, analyzing data to identify trends and performance metrics.
• Determine tools, parts, and equipment needed to achieve production goals per product specifications.
• Oversee capital investments and equipment installation, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programs and recommend system enhancements.
• Contribute technical expertise to complex project activities and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 8–10 years of direct engineering experience in the manufacturing of specialty chemicals and gases.
• Strong background in controls and process development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, CAD, and related engineering software.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to safety compliance and company policy adherence.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have close vision and focus adjustment ability.
