We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam\u0027s business. \n\n## The impact you\u2019ll make\n\nJoin Lam as a Manufacturing Engineer where you\u2019ll play a crucial role in supporting the new product pilot production factory, virtual manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing production factory. Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles, you will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations. You\u2019ll tackle technical, quality, and production challenges. Your expertise in optimizing manufacturing costs and standards helps shape Lam\u2019s commitment to innovation and efficiency in manufacturing.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.\n * Design, develop, and implement safe and cost-effective complex equipment and methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing.\n * Define processes and methods for high-volume manufacturing, including operations method sheets, routing, and sequencing.\n * Perform virtual builds and create sequences of assembly.\n * Perform root cause investigations and recommend corrective actions for operational problems, such as material use variances, bottlenecks, and fixture issues during build or manufacturing processes.\n * Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes or resolve problems, and follow through on resolutions to reduce costs and improve product quality and cycle time.\n * Review and develop designs that improve product manufacturability and assembly.\n * Coordinate new product builds in pilot production manufacturing, partnering closely with manufacturing and product engineers.\n * Create and release engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) using the Engineering Change Management process.\n * Develop handoff packages to enable product transition to high-volume manufacturing.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or a Master\u2019s degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.\n * Skilled troubleshooting capabilities in the areas of electro/mechanical assemblies.\n * Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.\n * Proficient in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), with an approach to structured problem-solving and decision-making.\n * Proficient in software applications such as CAD modeling, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or Product Data Modeling (PDM) systems.\n * Experience with the Engineering Change Management process.\n * Working knowledge of Operation Method Sheets (OMS), process planning, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.\n\n\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n * Knowledge of semiconductor equipment, capital equipment industry, and its manufacturing processes.\n * Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.\n * Statistical analysis skills including statistical process control and data analysis used in production settings.\n * Knowledge in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).\n * Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders or customers in technical matters.\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
