ResponsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Engineer

uses engineering principles to design, procure, install, and validate manufacturing processes. Analyzes and plans for labor utilization, equipment requirements, workflow, manufacturing space requirements and layout for maximum efficiency. Interfaces with the development team from concept through start of production to ensure the successful launch of new products.

Specific Duties:Development of manufacturing processes by completing detailed engineering analysis of:Logistics and contingency planningProcess flowParticipate in Continuous Improvement processesProcess labor planning & line balanceMaterial flow planningPlant layoutShop floor controls systemsErgonomic analysisWorkstation planningLead and participate in PFMEA analysis.Develop and maintain process documentation books for areas of responsibility according to established corporate and third-party standardsProduction equipment & tooling specification, purchase, and acceptanceIdentify and implement error proofing requirements throughout the production process.Validation of manufacturing process to meet labor targets, production output and quality standards

Education Preferred:Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferredEquivalent experience may be considered

Required ExperienceUniversity degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.3 years of suggested minimum experience.AutoCAD experience required
