Here, you\u2019ll be supported in progressing \u2013 whatever your ambitions. \n\n \n\nAbout the role: \nThe Manufacturing Engineer leads engineering initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to meet operational goals within our Access and Delivery Solution Assembly (ASDA) business. Whether your passion lies in systems, software, human factors, or beyond, this is a place where you can grow your career and be part of something bigger\u2014advancing science for life.\n\n \n\nBoston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.\n\n \nYour responsibilities will include:\n\n * Identifying, implementing, and managing equipment requirements to support production; prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results to the technical community\n * Planning, organizing and prioritizing daily work to meet production and project goals; anticipating risks and responding positively to unforeseen problems\n * Monitoring the performance of equipment and processes; troubleshoot and identify the root cause of non-conformances, low yields, and other quality/production issues\n * Troubleshooting issues related to the design, material, or processes of new and existing products \n * Designing and coordinating standard engineering tests and experiments; summarize, analyze and interpret results\n * Collaborating with divisional customer teams (e.g. R\u0026D, Sustaining Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.) to deliver on change management, process improvements, or business continuity projects\n * Utilizing tools such as process capability studies, process development, Six Sigma and Value Improvement projects to meet business goals; prepare reports and process/test documentation\n * Communicating effectively with peers, operations management, and supporting divisions (R\u0026D, Sustaining Engineering, Project Management, etc.)\n\n\n\n \nRequired qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience\n * Practical understanding of manufacturing problem solving, data analysis and production flow tools such as LEAN manufacturing\n * Experience leading process improvement initiatives\n\n\n\n \n\nPreferred qualifications\n\n * Experience working in the medical device industry\n\n\n * Experience with polymers, sub-assemblies and/or thermal processes\n * Experience with validation and qualification of equipment and processes\n * Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop and present ideas via visual communication methods\n\n\n\nRequisition ID: 626631\n\nMinimum Salary: $71500 \n\nMaximum Salary: $135800 \n\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\\--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.\n\nCompensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).\n\nCompensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).\n\nCompensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).\n\nOur organization is across Canada and has commercial representation in 140 countries.\n\nThis job involves regular collaboration with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders across Canada, the U.S., and/or internationally, making proficiency in English essential for effective communication and alignment. English is necessary for engaging with a range of documentation and maintaining effective communication if interacting with external clients or vendors.\n\nAs detailed in the job description, this job involves communicating, both verbally and in writing, with other Boston Scientific teams located across Canada, the United States and/or with our international clients and partners. International customers and partners represent an important part of our activities. Based on an evaluation, we have determined that the duties of Manufacturing Engineer II - ADSAposition require knowledge of English in addition to French (oral and written). We also determined that the English language skills already required of other employees do not permit the performance of English language skills tasks related to Manufacturing Engineer II - ADSA position.\n\nHowever, in Qu\u00e9bec, Boston Scientific limits as much as possible the number of positions for which it requires the knowledge of another language than French.
