Role Responsibilities: \n\n * Develop and maintain all methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies \n * Work with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products \n * May work with test engineering on the design and development of test fixtures. May assist in the coordination of test fixture sourcing activities.\n * Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results; take corrective/continuous improvement actions. Evaluate work methods, procedures, and policies \n * Work with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and manage manufacturing engineering projects as needed \n * Lead team in using design for excellence (DFx) principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing and/or product costs, and to improve product quality.\n * Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies. Participates in the development and maintenance of new and existing business processes; updates as necessary to ensure current practices are documented. \n * Determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling, process requirements, cycle time or labor hour reduction projects\n * Determine root causes and corrective actions for issues that arise during assembly, system testing, or from the field; perform Process Failure Mode \u0026 Effects Analysis and provide reports as needed \n * Perform MFG and Logistics DMR usage dispositions and work with suppliers for resolution\n * Mentor and train junior level engineers as needed \n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications: \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering or related field\n * 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related discipline\n * Demonstrated conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job \n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly explain complex information to others \n * Understanding of industry best practices and how manufacturing engineering integrates with other business areas.\n * Ability to lead small\u2011scale projects with manageable risk and resource needs; serves as a resource for less experienced colleagues.\n * Strong analytical and problem\u2011solving skills, capable of developing new perspectives on existing challenges and synthesizing information from multiple sources.\n * Ability to influence outcomes and drive improvements across customer, operational, project, or service activities within broad guidelines.\n\n\n\nPhysical Requirements: \n\nThis position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
