Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Sector has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineering to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.\n\nThis position is located in El Segundo, CA. This position is responsible for supply base technical management related to acquiring military hardware requirements. This position requires a motivated self-starter able to work independently and as a team player who can multi-task and communicate effectively with varying levels of program.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Provide sourcing recommendation to general procurement and major subcontract internal customers utilizing strategic sourcing tools.\n\n * Identifying and on-boarding new sources of supply for assigned commodities.\n\n * Conducting capability assessments, performing supplier audits and performance monitoring of suppliers for assigned commodities.\n\n * Support of mechanical commodities in strategic sourcing group.\n\n * Travel required up to 25%.\n\n\n\n\nRequired Skills:\n\n * Working knowledge of at least one of the following commodities: Machined parts, Machined Structures, Composites, Sheet Metal, Tooling\n\n * Work effectively with engineering, quality, and GSC organizations to help resolve technical supplier challenges\n\n * Support successful execution with Global Supply Chain and Supplier Quality organizations through the source selection and acquisition cycles.\n\n\n\n\nThis position may be filled as a Level 2 or Level 3 based on the qualifications outlined below.\n\nBasic Qualifications Level 2:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree is Science and 2 years of relevant engineering experience in procurement support, tooling evaluation, and technical liaison roles ; or Masters Degree and relevant engineering experience in procurement support, tooling evaluation, and technical liaison roles\n\n * Support successful execution with Global Supply Chain and Supplier Quality organizations through the source selection and acquisition cycles.\n\n * Demonstrated experience in interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models for fabrication of parts.\n\n * Model based experience with Siemens NX and/or CATIA and PLM environments.\n\n * Experience using SAP, Windows software packages, and databases to fetch data.\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications Level 3:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree is Science and 5 years of relevant engineering experience in procurement support, tooling evaluation, and technical liaison roles ; or Masters Degree and 3 years of relevant engineering experience in procurement support, tooling evaluation, and technical liaison roles\n\n * Support successful execution with Global Supply Chain and Supplier Quality organizations through the source selection and acquisition cycles.\n\n * Demonstrated experience in interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models for fabrication of parts.\n\n * Model based experience with Siemens NX and/or CATIA and PLM environments.\n\n * Experience using SAP, Windows software packages, and databases to fetch data.\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.\n\n\n\n\n \nPreferred Experiences:\n\n * Prior operational manufacturing experience for fabrication and/or assembly.\n\n * Understanding of post-production processing requirement and familiarity with NADCAP (i.e., Chemical, Heat Treat, paint \u2026)\n\n * ASME Y14.5 GD\u0026T certification\n\n * In-depth experienced navigating transactions in SAP to extract data.\n\n * Knowledge of FAR \u0026 DFAR requirements\n\n * Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements\n\n * Active DoD Secret clearance and prior related work experience.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
