Manufacturing General Laborer

Bulmann Dock & Lift is seeking a dependable and motivated Manufacturing General Laborer to join our production team in Boyne City, Michigan. This position involves assisting with the fabrication and assembly of aluminum components used in our dock and boat lift systems.

We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut, drill, bend, and deburr aluminum components according to production requirements.


• Operate saws, drills, shears, and other manufacturing equipment.


• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.


• Assist with the assembly of docks, boat lifts, and related components.


• Load, move, and organize materials throughout the production process.


• Perform general manufacturing and labor tasks as assigned.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.


• Follow established safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.


• Work with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.


• Use Microsoft Teams and other company software for basic communication and coordination.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or aluminum fabrication experience preferred but not required.


• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.


• Ability to follow work instructions and learn new manufacturing processes.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.


• Dependable, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Basic computer skills are helpful.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.


• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting.


• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing required protective equipment.
