Job Description - Manufacturing Manager CNC Department

Manufacturing Manager CNC Department – Westchester County, NY
Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time | On-site (manufacturing floor)
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee the CNC department at their facility in Westchester County, NY. This is a hands-on leadership role on the plant floor (not an office position) managing day-to-day CNC machining production, quality, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily CNC department operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow.
Supervise, train, and evaluate machinists/operators to build a strong team.
Oversee CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting (lathes/mills).
Ensure production meets safety, quality, and customer standards.
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

5–10 years of CNC machining experience, including strong knowledge of lathes.
Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or management role in manufacturing.
Proficiency in blueprints and quality inspection methods.
Mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.
Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S. and able to meet government security rules.
Associate degree or technical training in machining/manufacturing preferred (or equivalent experience).
