Job Description - Manufacturing Navigator


Job Title: Manufacturing Navigator

Supervisor: Manufacturing Production Coordinator 

Department: Industries Administration                                                      

FLSA Status: Hourly   

Summary: Supervise Job Coaches and provide administrative duties, secretarial duties, and job support coordination for eligible employees.

Essential Duties

  1. Manage Q-Pulse entry requirements for Manufacturing Administration maintaining compliance with DOL, and ISO 9001-2015.
  2. Participate in the QMS as an ISO Internal Auditor.
  3. Maintain all active and archived records in regards to AbilityOne requirements for all eligible employees in a manner that allows for quick and accurate access to information for any given time period. 
  4. Attend all case conferences for all eligible staff and coordinate all corresponding data.
  5. Coordinate, Supervise, and provide necessary training for Job Coaches.
  6. Ensure the implementation of all work planning for all caseloads.
  7. Communicate with all stakeholders of eligible employees to ensure successful employment.
  8. Refer eligible employees to the KCARC Navigator and to outside agencies when necessary for assistance.
  9. Develop vocational areas for all eligible employees and maintain necessary measurable progress record.
  10. Provide assistance to manufacturing in monitoring productivity levels for eligible employees.
  11. Collect data and coordinate issuance of behavioral plans.
  12. Complete quarterly reporting for Waiver services for eligible employees. 
  13. Collect data and coordinate benefits counseling as needed. 
  14. Complete quarterly reporting to Source America. 
  15. Disseminate Contact Notes to the appropriate interested parties.  
  16. Maintain confidentiality. 
  17. Promote and encourage teamwork and cooperation between staff in a positive and professional manner. 
  18. Transportation scheduling.

20. Maintain filing compliance with Source America.

21. Obtain documentation to maintain 75-25 Ratio.

22. Create and oversee work contract/behavioral contract as necessary.

23. Manage all Job Coaches in the plant.

24. Coordinate, Supervise, and provide necessary training for job coaching employees.

25. Monitor Job Coach new hires for continued improvement. Analyze and appraise the performance of all employees proposing corrective actions as needed. Insure timely submission of 90-day and annual evaluations of employees. Monitor and accurately track employees’ compliance with the attendance policy insuring that disciplinary action forms are submitted timely for review.

26. Supervise the maintenance of accurate and updated program and work records by Job Coach employees. 

27. Meet all budget objectives associated with Manufacturing Extended Services and Vocational Rehabilitation Services. 

28. All other duties deemed necessary.

29. Maybe required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and if required lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

30. Additional hours if needed are mandatory.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Driver’s license with excellent driving record.
  2. Possess ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department, i.e. overtime.
  3. Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
  4. Ability to listen to what is said and act upon it appropriately.
  5. Ability to use tact and empathy in dealing with people of varied backgrounds.
  6. Ability to establish effective working relationships.
  7. Ability to work independently or in a team environment and plan and organize workload.
  8. Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office product. (computer literate)
  9. Accepts responsibility and demonstrates leadership.
  10. Is able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Trustworthy- Able to keep business confidences as required.
  12. Open minded- Willing to embrace change.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience with computers required, with proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office products. Inventory control and purchasing experience required.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:

CPR/First Aid

Physical Demands

Repetitive motion required. Lifting, bending, twisting, and turning are required. Be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and if necessary lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
