The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily fabrication operations to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role is responsible for supervising production employees, coordinating workflow, enforcing safety policies, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Accountabilities:
Production & Operations
Supervise daily fabrication activities including welding, cutting, forming, machining, and assembly operations
Plan and assign work to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines
Monitor production output, efficiency, and labor utilization
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
People Leadership
Lead, train, and motivate production team members
Conduct shift meetings and communicate production goals and expectations
Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
Safety & Compliance
Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
Promote a strong safety culture and address unsafe conditions or behaviors
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
Conduct safety talks, inspections, and incident investigations
Quality Control
Ensure products meet drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Work with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve non-conformances
Verify proper use of tools, fixtures, and inspection equipment
Materials & Equipment
Coordinate with planning, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
Ensure proper use and maintenance of fabrication equipment
Report equipment issues and support preventive maintenance efforts
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost
Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with process improvements, standard work, and 5S activities
Perform other duties as assigned.
