Panel Processing Department Team Leader – Manufacturing | Spectrum Industries, Inc.

Spectrum Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-quality furniture and fixtures for educational and commercial environments, is seeking a dedicated and experienced team member to lead our Panel Processing Department. This department plays a key role in our CNC-driven manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a production environment, a strong understanding of quality standards, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the daily operations of the Panel Processing Department, including CNC routers, edge banders, and related machinery
   
• Perform First Piece Article Inspections to verify compliance with specifications before releasing jobs to full production
   
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify accuracy of cuts and dimensions
   
• Interpret and apply blueprint reading skills to guide production and verify part accuracy
   
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machine issues (CNCs, routers, and edge banders),  reporting more serious problems to the appropriate person when needed
   
• Ensure that all quality standards are consistently met throughout the production process
   
• Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently
   
• Provide ongoing training and support to new and existing team members
   
• Communicate performance feedback and operational issues to the department manager
   
• Foster a positive and cooperative work environment that values team input and collaboration
   
• Perform and assist with general production duties within the department
   
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

•  High school diploma or equivalent
   
• Three to five years of related manufacturing experience, preferably in a CNC-based environment
   
• Proven ability to read blueprints, perform inspections, and use standard measurement tools
   
• Experience with troubleshooting and machine operation
   
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified
   
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
