Summary: Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing assembly rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses programs and processes to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products or equipment. May determine and assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Needs to have the ability to perform failure diagnosis to the board/component level and perform root cause analysis with documented results, also needs to be able to use drawings and schematics to troubleshoot subassemblies and assemblies to component level. An ability to solder a must, certification not required but preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
13. Train new technicians on procedures, tools and company standards as appropriate.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read, write, and understand English fluently. Qualified candidates should be able to speak effectively to customers about company products and how they perform. The applicant must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Candidates must have a strong command of computer desktop tools such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) to assist in completing essential duties. Effectively demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have a willingness to constantly be learning. Syteline experience is a preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Requires an AA degree in electronic technology or equivalent, such as 4 years military service in a related field. Entry-Level Radio Frequency Technician should fit in the above.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the person is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. The person must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Associate should be able to see, hear and understand speech, communicate, lift equipment, supplies and materials, use office equipment and computers. WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the person is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office. The noise level is occasionally high.
