River Valley in Rochester is hiring a Marine Buyer & Consignment Specialist—someone who knows boats, understands their value, and can talk shop with real people. This is not a desk-only job and it’s not entry level. If you know boats inside and out, can work independently, and are comfortable meeting face-to-face with boat owners to earn their trust, this could be a strong long-term career move.
This role is built for someone with hands-on marine knowledge who can confidently evaluate boats, negotiate with private sellers, and move inventory. You’ll be sourcing, buying, consigning, and selling used boats through a mix of Facebook Marketplace, Messenger, direct customer interaction, and incoming web leads generated by River Valley’s established online presence. In addition, River Valley’s 30+ years of doing business drives consistent referral and repeat-customer leads. Knowing boats is not optional; it’s critical to success in this position.
River Valley is a Top 10 Marine Dealer in North America, representing the leading boat manufacturers in the industry. You’ll be helping build a steady, high-margin used boat and consignment pipeline while representing a trusted, family-owned marine dealership with full benefits.
