Job Description - Marine Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking Marine Construction Carpenters and Framers to join our team. In this role, you will support worksite operations through construction related tasks such as operating machinery and framework. In this role you will be assisting in the constructing of docks and boat lifts. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products.

Able to assist in a complete tear-down of existing structures in order to prep for new construction to take place.

Transport materials and equipment from one location to another

Safely operate power tools and/or industrial equipment

Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, reporting onsite any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair.

Qualifications

Prior experience in Marine Construction is a must.

Strong attention to detail

Excellent hand-eye coordination

Possess working knowledge of basic electrical work, roofing, and cement projects.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, to include enduring outdoor elements, swimming, lifting heavy objects up to 75 lbs., digging, and at times standing for long periods.

Working Knowledge of operating power tools and industrial machinery, such as excavators and cranes, are preferred.

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary.

Must have own reliable transportation and valid insurance.

Pass a drug test (we are a drug free workplace)

Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
