We are dedicated to hiring the most well-qualified people to join our team and are currently seeking a
full-time Marine Fiberglass/Shipwright Apprentice.
Job Summary:
Grand Banks Yachts Services Marine Fiberglass Tech will be responsible for planning, executing and completing a wide range of marine fiberglass tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Gelcoat Repair.
- Paint Repair.
- Varnish & Brightwork Repair.
- Minor Carpentry.
- Fabrication.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of marine fiberglass experience.
- Knowledge of marine fiberglass application & related products.
- Ability to fair & prime repaired areas of vessel.
- Knowledge of Awlgrip & gelcoat products.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers and staff.
- Outstanding customer service and a passion for the marine industry.
- Friendly, approachable personality.
- Must maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work alone or in teams.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to maneuver and fit in confined spaces as needed.
- Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have valid driver's license.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime as needed
- Weekends as needed rarely
