The Hinckley Company, known for building and servicing strong, seaworthy and beautiful yachts, is seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic for our boat yard in Portsmouth, RI   

Essential Duties:

• Performs complex mechanical repairs and installs. 
• Must be comfortable working on all boat systems; Hamilton water jets, engines by Yanmar, CAT, Volvo Penta, Cummins or FPT and familiar with working on onboard plumbing systems, hydraulics system installations, troubleshooting and repairs. 
• Knowledge of HVAC is preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience and the ability to install complete mechanical systems, have a drive and desire to meet or beat schedule and budget for project with no rework.
• The ability to write condition reports on boats, prepare actual estimates and plan projects through to completion is vital.
• This mechanic will work independently to complete projects and may lead a small work team to complete projects.
• 5+ years marine experience preferred.
