Join a marine manufacturing and shipyard operation responsible for barge construction, vessel repair, industrial fabrication, and waterfront operations. This role serves as the site's lead safety professional and provides oversight of safety programs across both maritime and manufacturing environments.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on safety leader who understands shipyard operations, heavy industrial manufacturing, welding and fabrication activities, crane operations, and waterfront hazards while helping drive a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
✔ 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience
✔ 5+ years supporting shipyard, marine, maritime, barge, vessel repair, waterfront, or heavy industrial operations
✔ Working knowledge of OSHA Shipyard Employment Standards (29 CFR 1915)
⭐ CSP, ASP, CHST, or similar professional safety certification
⭐ Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field
⭐ Shipyard Competent Person, Maritime Safety, or related certifications
⭐ Experience supporting barge construction, vessel repair, waterfront operations, welding and fabrication, or heavy industrial manufacturing
⭐ Experience supporting USCG-regulated operations
