Job Description - Maritime Sheet Metal Furniture Installer

1. Must have three plus years Shipboard Sheet Metal experience. Furniture, galley, head, doors, MJ bhds, and duct instilation is a plus. Must list your detailed experience on your resume.

2. Must be able to read, understand and explain, NAV-SEA dwgs.
3. Must have all hand tools required for sheet metal mechanic.
4. Must be eligible to work in all HII Newport News Shipyard.
5. Must pass background check (Can not have background infractions)
6. Must have valid drivers licenses, transportation and current auto insurance.
7 Must be able to pass workability physcial for working on and off ships and in harsh environments.
8. Must pass drug screen exam.

Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

We do things different. Our skilled craftsmen are required to complete a written exam and a performance evaluation. With that information we can provide an accurate assessment of their skill set. But that's not the end. If they lack certain skills we have the resources to help them learn the skills they need to become the best craftsman they can be.
