Job Description - Market Access Manager

Market Access Manager 

 

Role purpose:

  • The role is designed to manage full spectrum of activities needed to achieve revenue-optimal reimbursement for Bayer products, aimed at patient segments with insurance coverage or the ability to pay out of pocket and leveraging Bayer full portfolio and cross-functional capabilities in addition to manage Patient Focused Affordability Programs.

 

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Work with cross function team to accelerate registration and reimbursement Bayer products in Morocco
  • Responsible for Enlisting of the new launches within the assigned portfolio as per the launch sequence and to ensure optimum access & reimbursement at launch timelines
  • Develop / support innovative access schemes/partnerships with payers & insurance bodies to reach patient segments lacking both coverage and ability to pay out of pocket
  • Analyze required data for strategy development including comprehensive and continuous stakeholder mapping and prepares, submits, and follows-up reimbursement submission dossiers in all relevant health care sectors and ensure availability of relevant scientific evidence through health economics/policy studies
  • Development of customized access/value dossier to support local markets with pricing, reimbursement, and access negotiations
  • Develop & optimize payer/customer value proposition messages either locally created or trans created from global contents in accordance with payer evidence requirements, aligning with market/institutions levels through coordinated execution with payers
  • Implement market access strategy, based on a robust understanding of the payer environment, to maximize the value of the product
  • Initiate and/or consult in payer research & drive market access relevant customer & competitor insights
  • Proactively monitor the external environment, customers, and competitors to identify opportunities for protecting and improving access for Bayer current/future portfolio
  • Being trained, manage and act as the PSP Responsible for Bayer Patient Focused Affordability Programs and coordinate and oversight the 3rd party vendors delivering the service aiming to facilitate better access to treatment for Bayer portfolio

 

Other Conditional Responsibilities:

  • When applicable; represent MACs MENA function.
  • When applicable; manage and act as the PSP Responsible for Bayer Patient Focused Affordability Programs and coordinate and oversight the 3rd party vendors delivering the service aiming to facilitate better access to treatment for Bayer portfolio in Saudi Arabia

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • University degree, preferably in Pharmaceuticals, Medicine Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry MACS experience is an additional asset
  • Solid knowledge of payer/reimbursement dynamics in key markets, tender management, and ability to develop value proposition customized for market/asset needs
  • Ability to challenge the status quo & influence internal and external customers (via in market colleagues) to better position the value of Bayer portfolio
  • Strong analytical & strategic thinking skills. Ability to prioritize frequently & to run complete end-end initiatives independently
  • Deliver high quality, accurate work within the required timelines. In depth understanding of key therapy areas under responsibility
  • Fluent in English and Arabic. lead with purpose, create value with the customer, be accountable, collaborate and connect, grow yourself and others
