Market Development Executive
Specialty: Modern Infrastructure for Cloud and Data Center, Cyber resilience, and transformational infrastructure services.
The Market Development Executive (MDE) is responsible for selling Insight’s Infrastructure technology and services to clients across various industries. The MDE will partner closely with Go to Market Account executives and Infrastructure Solution line leaders in alignment with client growth strategies and top business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to solve client’s business initiatives related to modernizing infrastructure, securing the enterprise and optimizing costs related to IT infrastructure.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the Infrastructure Solutions Line
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations. Director through CxO is a requirement.
- Build and maintain relationships with key OEM partners to drive account planning and territory growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with Infrastructure solution leaders.
- Define and execute technical account growth strategy in partnership with Services delivery
- Identify new opportunities for specialty solutions and services
- Develop customized proposals and presentations along with Services Delivery
- Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends and competitive landscape
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and close
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction
- Develop executive client trusted relationships relative to technical area of expertise
- Provide regular updates to management on sales progress and pipeline development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in field sales in infrastructure sales modernizing infrastructure in data center, edge and cloud.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of infrastructure solutions and services inclusive, of software defined data centers, modern compute, storage, network, security and data protection.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel as needed

Internal teammate application guidelines:
- Meet the minimum qualifications and requirements of the position;
- Have completed minimum service time in current role based on department (ranges from 6 months to 2 years) and have current manager approval.
- For Account Executives, must be in role for at least 2 years and be a Level 2
- For Client Fulfillment Center, must be in role for at least 6 months
- Unless noted above, must be in role for at least 12 months
- Not be under a disciplinary evaluation or suspension period;
- Have satisfactory performance in their current position;
- Have their current manager/supervisor recommendation
