The Marketing Academy: Excellence and Strategic Partnering Lead is a leadership role on the Marketing Academy team responsible for two interconnected and high-impact mandates: building and sustaining strategic partnerships across Global, US, and International marketing teams, and owning the end-to-end design, delivery, and evolution of the E2E Executional Excellence (Tactical Magic) capability track.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, capability building, and organizational influence. The Senior Director acts as a trusted advisor to priority brands and markets, providing diagnostic support, tailored learning experiences, and expert guidance on the Pfizer Marketing Model. Simultaneously, they serve as the Track Lead for the Executional Excellence track, setting the north star for what good marketing judgement looks like in practice, and translating that into standards, journeys, tools, and programs that marketers can apply in their day-to-day work.
Acting as both architect and steward, this leader designs the connective thread from strategy through execution, measurement, testing, and optimization for enterprise marketers while orchestrating subject matter experts, agencies, and partners to deliver reliably at scale. The role exists to raise decision quality and marketing effectiveness through disciplined, repeatable capability building and high-value strategic engagement.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years, or MBA/MS with 10+ years of experience in marketing and/or consulting strategy, with hands-on experience across brand, omnichannel, portfolio, or regional/global roles.
- Proven success leading capability-building, enablement, or transformation initiatives at scale.
- Strategic partnering and advisory experience across multiple regions and leadership levels in matrixed, global organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC PARTNERING
- Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to priority brands and markets, providing white-glove support, diagnostics, and tailored guidance on the Pfizer Marketing Model and key marketing deliverables.
- Lead high-impact strategic engagements including strategic planning sessions, brand and market workshops, and bespoke support, (including the development of innovative AI tools and workflows to solve new or unique problems), for high-priority teams across Global, US, and International markets.
- Build and sustain relationships with senior marketing stakeholders across the enterprise, translating Academy priorities into relevant, high-value interventions for each audience.
- Act as a credible marketing expert and internal consultant — diagnosing capability gaps, identifying learning moments, and connecting teams with the right resources, tools, and expertise.
E2E EXECUTIONAL EXCELLENCE TRACK LEADERSHIP
- Own the end-to-end impact and coherence of the E2E Execution Excellence capability track, setting the north star for marketing judgement quality and translating it into practical standards, learning journeys, tools, and experiences.
- Design and steward the track as a scalable product — with defined users, value propositions, adoption lifecycle, and continuous improvement loops — rather than a one-off program.
- Coordinate the CMO roadmap for process and tools, managing agencies, SMEs, and operational delivery to ensure quality and intent do not drift over time.
- Embed AI-enabled workflows, prompts, and decision-support tools into the track, partnering with AI, data, and platform teams to align capability design with enterprise roadmaps.
- Use engagement, performance, and outcome signals to continuously refine and evolve the track, setting clear measurement approaches and translating insights into improvements.
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT & EXPERT FACILITATION
- Act as Learning Track Owner — setting the strategic approach, developing briefs, leading content creation, and overseeing the delivery of Academy programs, webinars, and Skills Labs to ensure quality and impact.
- Facilitate executive-level webinars, Skills Labs, and Academy experiences, functioning as an internal marketing expert and practitioner.
- Design attention-efficient, action-oriented learning experiences across live, asynchronous, and hands-on formats, grounded in adult learning and behavioral principles.
- Coordinate SMEs to produce reusable exemplars, hands-on support tools, and modular learning components that scale effectively across regions and roles.
GOVERNANCE, OPERATIONS & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Own program governance, budget management, agency relationships, and delivery quality for the Executional Excellence track.
- Establish and maintain quality standards and QA processes across content, tools, communications, and agency outputs, preventing drift and maintaining consistency at scale.
- Drive continuous improvement through regular engagement and outcome measurement, using data-informed signals to evolve the track and strategic partnering approach over time.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $214,900.00 to $358,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
