Marketing & Events Coordinator

Position Summary:

Waccamaw Dermatology™ is seeking a creative, organized, and highly motivated Marketing & Events Coordinator to support the execution of marketing initiatives across our growing practice.

This role will work closely with the Marketing Manager to coordinate events, create and manage marketing content, support community outreach, maintain marketing materials, and help execute campaigns across Waccamaw Dermatology™ and Elara Cosmetic Dermatology, the cosmetic division of Waccamaw Dermatology™.

Key Responsibilities:

• Marketing Coordination
• Support the Marketing Manager in executing campaigns, promotions, service launches, provider announcements, and other marketing initiatives across print and digital channels.
•  Assist with website updates, email and SMS campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, CRM efforts, and basic campaign tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate the production and distribution of brochures, signage, promotional materials, and other marketing collateral across practice locations.
• Help ensure marketing materials remain accurate, current, appropriately stocked, and consistent with brand standards. Communicate with vendors, printers, photographers, community partners, and other external partners as needed.
• Assist with coordinating photography and video shoots, including scheduling, shot lists, talent/models, locations, and day-of logistics.

Social Media & Content:

• Assist with the day-to-day management of social media accounts across Waccamaw Dermatology and Elara Cosmetic Dermatology.
• Develop, schedule, and publish engaging social media content in alignment with established brand strategies and guidelines.
• Capture photo and short-form video content at practice locations, events, provider activities, and community initiatives.
• Edit and repurpose content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
• Assist with maintaining a consistent social media content calendar.
• Monitor social channels and identify opportunities for timely, relevant, and engaging content.
• Coordinate with providers and team members to gather content and highlight services, expertise, patient education, practice news, and team culture.

Events & Community Outreach:

• Coordinate and execute practice events, open houses, educational events, community activations, and promotional events.
• Manage event logistics including vendors, timelines, signage, promotional materials, giveaways, staffing needs, setup, and breakdown.
• Assist with identifying and coordinating community partnerships, sponsorships, local organizations, and collaborative opportunities.
• Represent Waccamaw Dermatology and Elara Cosmetic Dermatology at community events, networking opportunities, and practice-sponsored initiatives.
• Maintain an organized calendar of upcoming events, sponsorships, partnerships, and promotional opportunities.
• Coordinate event promotion across social media, email, print, digital, and internal channels.
• Track event participation and assist with post-event reporting and follow-up.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in marketing, social media, events, communications, or a related role preferred.
•  Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Experience with   Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva preferred.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar video editing software preferred.
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and other social media management software platforms preferred.
• Basic photography and short-form video editing skills preferred.
• Experience with email marketing, CRM, or SMS marketing platforms a plus, but not required.
• Healthcare, dermatology, aesthetics, hospitality, or multi-location marketing experience is a plus.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to travel between Waccamaw Dermatology locations and attend community events as needed.
•  Reliable transportation required.
• Some evening and weekend availability may be required for events, content opportunities, and community initiatives.
• Ability to assist with event setup, breakdown, transportation of marketing materials, and other event-related activities.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and projects may evolve.

• A portfolio or collection of relevant work samples is required as part of the application process. We want to get a sense of your creativity, design style, and approach to marketing! Your portfolio does not need to be professionally designed or formally presented.
• Work samples may include social media graphics or posts, Canva or Adobe designs, photography, short-form video, event materials, flyers, campaigns, writing samples, school projects, freelance work, or other creative projects that showcase your skills.
• Samples may be submitted as a website, PDF, shared folder, social media account, or simply a collection of individual files. We care more about seeing your work and creative perspective than how the portfolio itself is packaged.
