Travel: Regular travel to conferences and industry events required

Founded in 2005, Mickelson & Company is a tax-motivated capital advisory firm based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We specialize in the monetization of federal and state tax credits for the railroad and renewable energy industries.

We are seeking a Marketing & Sales Enablement Associate to help expand our market presence and support our continued growth. This is a unique opportunity for a marketing professional who enjoys both creative marketing and enabling sales teams.

The ideal candidate will become knowledgeable about our specialized services and industries and use that knowledge to create effective marketing content, support sales initiatives, identify opportunities for targeted outreach, and represent Mickelson & Company at industry events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing initiatives that support company growth and business development.
• Create compelling content for social media, email campaigns, website, presentations, brochures, proposals, and other marketing materials.
• Work closely with company leadership to identify prospects and opportunities for targeted marketing and outreach.
• Develop a strong understanding of Mickelson & Company’s services, clients, industries, and competitive landscape.
• Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market activity to identify opportunities to increase our visibility and strengthen our position in the marketplace.
• Support prospecting and follow-up efforts through targeted communications and marketing campaigns.
• Regularly attend and represent Mickelson & Company at industry conferences and events.
• Engage with prospects, clients, referral sources, and industry contacts.
• Coordinate conference and event marketing, including materials, communications, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure our marketing accurately and effectively communicates the value of our services.
• Stay current on marketing trends, digital platforms, and best practices.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in marketing, sales support, content creation or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong business writing abilities.
• Ability and willingness to learn and understand a complex, specialized business and effectively communicate its services to others.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients, industry professionals, and business partners.
• Creative, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with social media and digital marketing tools.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly for conferences and industry events.

Preferred: Experience in B2B marketing, professional services, financial services, investor relations, or a related industry.
