Job Description - Marketing Assistant

This position is open at any of our five branches: Buffalo, Sheridan, Gillette, Douglas, Newcastle.



Summary/Objective: The Marketing Assistant provides administrative, creative, and operational support for the Bank’s marketing, communications, community involvement, and public relations activities. This position assists with marketing projects, content development, events, sponsorships, promotional materials, internal communications, research, reporting, and Bank-wide marketing initiatives. The Marketing Assistant works closely with the Marketing team and branch personnel to support consistent branding, effective communication, and positive visibility throughout the Bank’s communities.


 


Essential functions:



  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing Bank marketing initiatives, community events, sponsorships, public relations activities, and promotional campaigns.

  • Assist with developing and maintaining content for social media, newsletters, the employee intranet, digital displays, and other Bank communication channels.

  • Assist with photography, promotional materials, giveaways, signage, and other marketing materials.

  • Coordinate the ordering and distribution of marketing supplies and promotional items, maintain branch inventories, and assist with tracking marketing expenses.

  • Assist with preparing materials, reports, presentations, and other information for marketing meetings and initiatives.

  • Assist with surveys, marketing research, reporting, and tracking the effectiveness of marketing activities as assigned.

  • Maintain and update in-house marketing platforms, including lobby televisions, telephone messaging, and other communication channels.

  • Support consistent use of the Bank’s brand, messaging, and marketing materials across locations and communication channels.

  • Coordinate with branch and department personnel regarding marketing materials, events, promotions, sponsorships, and other marketing needs.

  • Attend and assist with Bank-sponsored community events and other public relations activities.

  • Travel to other Bank locations as needed to support marketing meetings, events, projects, and other marketing activities.

  • Maintain organized marketing records, materials, project information, and other documentation.

  • Maintain current knowledge of the Bank’s products, services, markets, communities, and marketing initiatives.

  • Actively participate in customer, community, and public relations activities to increase the bank’s visibility and enhance new business opportunities.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in marketing, communications, public relations, event coordination, administrative support, customer service, or a related field preferred.

  • Banking or financial services experience preferred but not required.

  • Experience with social media, content development, digital communications, event coordination, or marketing platforms preferred.

  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related experience may be considered.


 


Supervisory:


This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and may serve as a mentor for other positions in the organization.


 


Working Conditions



  • Normal office environment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to type, carry, handle, and feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

  • Multitask; perform tasks in an open office environment with noise from conversations, office machines, or other distracting sounds.

  • Keep track of assigned tasks

  • Occasionally, may be exposed to upset customers during everyday activities or work under stress caused by anxious or impatient customers.
