Job Description - Marketing Assistant/Paid Intern (100% Remote)

Position Description:

We are seeking a Marketing Assistant/ Paid Intern to support the marketing team in various tasks related to the development and implementation of marketing strategies. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in a dynamic marketing environment, contributing to Hartwood’s overall business objectives. This position involves a combination of administrative, creative, and strategic tasks aimed at supporting all marketing efforts for Hartwood. The candidate will assist with policy development, digital marketing, content creation, market research, event coordination, customer engagement, and other marketing activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media, etc.).
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials.
Help create, edit, and proofread marketing content, including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Support the development of visual content by collaborating with graphic designers and other creative professionals.
Assist in managing social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments/messages.
Support email marketing campaigns by preparing email lists, drafting emails, and tracking campaign performance.
Assist in organizing and promoting marketing events, trade shows, webinars, and other promotional activities.
Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, materials preparation, and attendee communication.
Maintain and update marketing databases and document lists.
Prepare and distribute marketing reports, presentations, and other documentation.
Handle administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and processing marketing/product requests.
Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders if required.
Support customer service and engagement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Required Skills and Experience:

Previous experience (or college courses) in a marketing or providing marketing support is desired.
Eagerness and aptitude to learn; training on aspects of marketing will be provided.
Familiarity with marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, email marketing platforms, social media management tools) is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is beneficial.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit content accurately.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to analyze data and provide insights to inform marketing strategies.
Proficiency in using analytics tools to track and report on marketing performance.
Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
Or High school diploma with some college coursework
Work Environment:

Home office environment, working alongside professionals.
100% remote work in accordance with company policies.
