The University of Chicago Graham School connects diverse audiences from around the world to the University’s distinctive ideas and intellectual community through events, courses, and degree programs.


Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day tactical work of the Graham School marketing department. This role is responsible for executing a range of marketing activities designed to raise awareness of Graham’s academic offerings among prospective students across digital channels. The Coordinator will play an important role in maintaining and updating the Graham School’s WordPress websites, supporting paid media campaigns, creating branded assets, and contributing to answer engine optimization efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple projects across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the tactical execution of marketing projects and campaigns that promote academic offerings and enrollment goals.
  • Maintains and updates Graham’s WordPress websites, including editing page content, building and formatting pages, updating images and calls to action, posting events and blog content, and conducting quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assists with paid social and paid search efforts by preparing creative assets, updating campaigns, and helping monitor performance.
  • Creates branded materials in Canva, including digital ads, social media graphics, and other promotional assets.
  • Supports answer engine optimization efforts by helping develop and revise website content that clearly answers prospective student questions, reflects high-intent search behavior, and improves the clarity, usefulness, and discoverability of program content in both search engines and AI-driven answer platforms.
  • Helps maintain Graham’s YouTube channel by uploading videos, writing optimized titles and descriptions, creating accurate chapters, organizing playlists, and developing thumbnails in alignment with platform best practices.
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders to gather content, secure approvals, and complete marketing updates in a timely manner.
  • Tracks project details, organizes files and assets, and provides general administrative and production support for the marketing team.
  • Assists with basic reporting and other departmental support tasks as needed.
  • Assists in developing marketing communications, advertising, or publicity materials with a moderate to high level of guidance from others.
  • Performs one or more of the following marketing functions: marketing communications /advertising; Web blogs or digital marketing; market research; development or review and update of the marketing infrastructure and management of external sales agency relationships.
  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.


Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least one year of relevant professional experience in marketing, communications, or digital content management; internship experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with digital content best practices, including SEO and emerging answer engine optimization strategies.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Familiar with WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or similar platforms.
  • Interpret basic performance data and apply insights to improve digital marketing efforts.

Preferred Competencies

  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Work well with others in a highly collaborative environment.
