Job Description - Marketing Director

Develop business strategy overview by analyzing key market trends including competitive products, regulatory and legislative developments and technological advances. Co-lead new product introduction (NPI) roadmap and execution to meet changing market needs in a competitive environment. Increase the value of the product offering while balancing the function and benefits of the product offering with the product cost and the cost incurred in development/delivery of product offering. Sales Growth - develop strategy and programs to increase market share in existing markets, identify and develop new markets. Introduce product/marketing promotions and other sales programs to deliver top-line sales revenue objectives. Serve as one of the “key faces” of the business, developing relationships with the sales force, the channel and target customers Margin enhancement - effectively balance objectives of growth and profitability through effective product management (optimal product mix, pricing approach, customer targets) to deliver gross margin and return on sales goals. Deepen our understanding of price elasticity in different parts of the market and true profitability of different types of target customers Codes and Standards - responsible for leading national Codes and Standards strategy in conjunction with ARS and ESA C&S leadership. Inorganic growth - manage the inorganic pipeline process considering commercial and technical opportunities. Identify adjacent markets and offers that we might pursue through acquisition or partnership and cultivate relationships with identified targets Leadership - effectively manage cross-functional interfaces in a manner harmonized with RWDD's overall operating rhythm. Guide direct reports to achieve the same balance in the performance of their responsibilities. Agent/Sales/Customer Communications - maintain and enhance positive working relationships with sales management and the agency base. Gather VOC, present NPI and facilitate issue resolution as required. Lead the efforts of the RWD division to get specifications for our products at OEMs, construction contractors, industrial customers, home builders and home building contractors. Provide leadership to the RWD Marketing Communication team and ensure that they support the unique retail channel material required for that vertical. Maintain the abilities of this group to continue to support the unique B2C work of this team in support of the Division. Provide leadership, in conjunction with the Director of Operations, to the Marina Power and Light business ensuring that the business has the right commercial focus to grow and achieve their financial objectives, while they meet their operational requirements (i.e. ELSS, EHS, EBS, etc) Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or operations within the electrical industry. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Advanced degree. Deep knowledge of electrical products, technical applications, competitive landscape, and relevant legislative/regulatory issues. This includes competitive pay and a variety of benefit programs for eligible employees. The expected annual salary range for this role is $199000 - $291000 a year.
