JSG is seeking a Marketing Director for our Environmental Engineering client in Canoga Park, CA.

The Marketing Director will:

  • Create, develop, and implement proposals for government and non-government environmental and hazardous materials projects.
  • Develop the proposal process for environmental and hazardous material projects, including RFP analysis, proposal development, and submission.
  • Manage the proposal process for environmental and hazardous material projects, including RFP analysis, proposal development, and submission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical and subject matter experts to develop comprehensive and competitive proposals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the environmental industry.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the government and private environmental space.
  • Develop and maintain a database of proposal content, including boilerplate language, case studies, and other relevant materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations and guidelines throughout the proposal development process.
  • Lead strategy development processes for increasing growth and bring the required strategic market and competitive knowledge necessary to achieve growth.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to represent our clients’ services.
  • Facilitate and coordinate quote/proposal/RFP production and delivery to clients from initial contact through purchase order.
  • Conduct and support client engagement activities to strengthen our relationships with our clients and increase our understanding of their needs.
  • Partner with Operations to develop and implement the business segment’s sales and business development plan.
  • Drive the Group’s overall strategic planning process.
  • Grow the pipeline through the identification and qualification of new business opportunities that are consistent with strategic priorities in a manner that takes full advantage of the entire company’s capabilities.
  • Maintain the company CRM with all leads, opportunities, prospects, customers, etc. to track metrics, share analysis and insights with leaders to drive activity and support the overall health of the business.
  • Support the development of strategies that improve the quality and depth of market and competitor intelligence to influence and enhance win probability.
  • Conduct and support marketing events/client engagement activities to strengthen our relationships with our clients and increase our understanding of their needs.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by client or manager(s)
  • Participate in and lead training for career development, safety and maintaining required certifications.

Qualifications

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on government environmental and hazardous material projects

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in proposal development, with a focus on government environmental and hazardous material projects.
  • Strong understanding of the environmental industry and government regulations.
  • General knowledge of CRM and project management software
  • A comprehensive understanding of the environmental industry
  • A strong marketing background.
  • Experience working with government agencies.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office (Access, Outlook, Word and Excel) as well as familiarity with Facebook, Twitter and other social media/internet advertising.
  • A work ethic which is driven by goals to create ultimate client satisfaction.
  • Ability and desire to be a role model for peers, both in behavior and work quality, maintaining a positive attitude and inspiring others to follow.
  • A self-starter, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Professional business experience, preferably in business-to-business marketing or sales functions, where contact with decision-making executives was required.
  • Proven abilities to communicate skillfully, tactfully, and persuasively in both verbal and written media.
  • Ability to deliver content in a style which is appropriate to a high-level business communication.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to achieve quality and productivity objectives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communication, Sales or Marketing
