Marketing Leader NAM
Randstad is seeking a dynamic, data-driven Regional Marketing Leader for North America (NAM) to drive regional marketing strategies, execute our global marketing strategy, and position Randstad as the ultimate Partner for Talent. This executive role sits on the global marketing leadership team, reporting to the Global CMO, and will lead the restructuring and strategic growth of our B2B, e-commerce, and "B2B2C" marketing portfolios across the region.
Important Note: This is a Marketing Strategy & Transformation Role, NOT a Content Creation Role
What This Role Is: A high-impact executive leadership position focused on regional marketing strategy, team restructuring, e-commerce conversion optimization, budget auditing, and driving technological and operational transformation (such as migrating operations to a Global Capability Center).
What This Role Is NOT: A hands-on content production, copywriting, or local campaign execution role. Local content production and web management tasks are actively being centralized under this leader's roadmap.
Location and Working Conditions
Location: Remote / Hybrid – Atlanta.
Time Zone Specificity: While Randstad operates globally, this role requires full alignment and availability during North American business hours, with regular cross-functional collaboration alongside global teams. Candidates must be legally eligible to work within the United States or Canada.
Local Search Terms: Hybrid presence and regional leadership travel will be required across our core North American corporate hubs to foster collaboration with sales, product, and leadership teams.
What You Will Achieve (Key Responsibilities)
Strategic Planning & Execution
Drive Regional Strategy: Spearhead the North American implementation of the Global Marketing Target Operating Model (TOM). You will focus heavily on organizational efficiency, reducing operational layers, and optimizing the Span of Control.
Global Centralization: Manage the transition of local marketing activities (including content production and web management) to the Global Capability Center (GCC) as part of a roadmap to achieve greater than 50% centralization over time.
Cohesive Positioning: Align regional strategies with global marketing objectives to ensure unified brand messaging and positioning across our four specializations.
E-Commerce & B2B Marketing Leadership
Lower Funnel Optimization: Drive e-commerce initiatives to boost online presence, implementing data-driven strategies with a heavy focus on lower funnel conversion to optimize the customer journey.
B2B Growth & Partnerships: Lead B2B marketing efforts focusing on lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention while developing strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach.
Budget & Team Restructuring
Financial Auditing: Conduct a rigorous audit of the regional marketing budget to remove non-core expenses, eliminating immediate stop opportunities such as non-essential brand media, sponsorships, and gifts.
Team Development: Restructure, build, and manage a high-performing regional marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment with open communication.
Key Metrics You'll Own
As the North American Marketing Leader, your performance analysis and daily reviews will center heavily on lower funnel (conversion) strategies to ensure high-velocity business results. You will own and report on:
Website Traffic & Lower Funnel Conversion Rates
Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition Velocity
Campaign Effectiveness & Marketing ROI
AI Agent Performance Data & DMP/TP Insight Integration
Budget Optimization & Core Cost-Savings (via non-core expense elimination)
What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications & Background)
Experience: Minimum 10+ years in marketing, with a significant portion dedicated to e-commerce and B2B. A proven track record within a global, matrixed organization is essential.
Brand & Portfolio Expertise: Proven ability to build and grow a global brand (preferably B2B2C) and experience managing digital portfolios including enterprise-level business lines.
The "Digital Translator" Capability: Demonstrated experience acting as a bridge between high-level CMO strategy and technical data infrastructure, with a clear history of driving technology adoption.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Technical & Platform Skills: Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, CRM software, and marketing automation tools. Required expertise in DMP/TP platforms and the application of AI agents within marketing workflows.
How You Lead (Leadership Competencies)
At Randstad, we put people at the heart of everything we do. We expect our leaders to lead by example across three core pillars:
We Set Direction: You think strategically to align the portfolio with long-term business priorities while proactively driving organizational change to ensure the marketing function remains future-proof.
We Achieve: You drive for results with operational excellence and integrity, breaking down silos to collaborate effectively across functions, regions, and business segments.
We Care: You inspire diverse, high-performing teams, maintain an inclusive environment, and actively mentor practitioners to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Model the Behavior: You demonstrate the courage to lead through ambiguity and speak up regarding strategic risks or non-compliance.
