Job Description
The Marketing Manager will work collaboratively with the Y association and branch staff to help implement the marketing and communication plan of the organization. This includes the creation and dissemination of a variety of materials on membership, programming, volunteering, events, news and stories for internal and external audiences, working within brand guidelines (graphics, voice, messaging). This position will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the Y’s digital platforms including app content, ads, social media, website content management, digital screens and more. This position is onsite and includes area travel to Y branches.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in design, communications, marketing or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills. Experience in graphic design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Proficient in Microsoft Office, website content management systems and digital email/marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Hootsuite. Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Google AdWords/Grants. Proficient in project management and demonstrable ability to work on multiple projects at once while adhering to deadlines. Knowledge of social media, both organic and paid placements. Ability to analyze ads, website, mobile app and social content for optimization. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with staff members, volunteers, donors, members, vendors and others. Ability to travel locally to other branches. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may occasionally include weekends and holidays as needed. Essential Functions Coordinate and fulfill branch-level marketing requests to include creating and revising promotional materials to promote programs and services. Create, direct, execute and facilitate review of content for ads, broadcast, email marketing, website, social media, newsletters, invitations, updates, flyers and member and/or donor communications. Work closely with the CMO to develop and implement digital ads to promote membership, programs and services. Manage graphic design templates for program newsletters and publications. Assist in collecting photos, videos and Y stories to support the Y’s mission. Develop ideas to improve reach and awareness across all Y digital platforms. Partner closely with the CMO on content strategy and review digital analytics regularly with an eye for content optimization. Consistently drive innovation by staying current with technology, trends, and new ideas for content management and process improvements. Implement SEO strategies to enhance website visibility and ensure that content is optimized for search engines. Analyze website, mobile, app and social content for performance and optimization. Other duties as assigned.
