Job Description - Marketing Manager (Available Immediately)

Primary Function & Position Overview:

As the Marketing Manager for the Public Prep Network, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission and expanding our reach within the community and developing brand awareness for potential external partners. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to raise awareness, drive engagement, expand scholar enrollment, and increase support for our cause. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who is passionate about making a positive impact and has a deep understanding of marketing principles and tactics.

Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and execute annual marketing and campaign plans that engage internal and external constituents in the support and promotion of our organization's mission, programs, and initiatives.
Create compelling marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, print, and events, to effectively reach target audiences.
Maintain accurate network-wide brand assets, including logos, templates, swag, internal and external school signage, and relevant elements of the communication to ensure consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
Create a communications plan with consideration of cadence and style consistency.
Identify opportunities for website/ blog posts and ensure they are regularly posted and maintained.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and use insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making and propose adjustments to tactics based on data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, development staff, program managers, operations functions, board members and volunteers, to align marketing efforts.
Work across all departments to showcase student activities and successes.
Assist with event planning and execution, and identify branding and marketing opportunities to support and highlight events.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, and community partners to enhance visibility and generate positive publicity.
Organize and assist with collecting high quality photographs, videos or other assets. Oversee the creation and production of marketing collateral, such as brochures, flyers, videos, and presentations, ensuring high quality and adherence to brand guidelines.
Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize effectiveness and maximize ROI.
Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing and communications, and recommend innovative strategies to stay ahead of the curve.
Manage marketing budgets and expenditures, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Develop and oversee all elements of the external editorial communications calendar.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in marketing, preferably in the non-profit sector or a related field.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns and initiatives, with measurable results.
Experience with digital marketing and social media platforms and comfort with learning new platformsStrong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with video editing, , preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for different audiences and channels.
Experience with graphic design and website software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite- such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator ), preferred. Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of email marketing, and able to set strategic engagement metrics
Ability to understand web analytics and other measurable KPIs.
Passion for and commitment to the mission and values of Public Prep, the nonprofit sector, and education equity.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Public Prep offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, internal equity, and budgeted amount for the role. The salary for this position starts at $65,000-80,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package. It includes Oxford Medical, United Dental/Vision, life insurance, parenting benefits, flexible spending account, generous paid time off, commuter benefits, referral bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) package with a 5% employer match.
