Marketing Project Coordinator - Exciting Challenge

A global financial services company is seeking a Marketing Project Coordinator for their office in Chicago, IL

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6 months, temporary-to-hire

Responsibilities:

• Be the communications hub between all team members and marketing strategy partners that touch an assigned project to determine specifics for creative development and distribution and facilitate movement from one step to the next
• Work with leads to coordinate and plan resources, ensuring that proper hours are allocated for all projects on assigned business, which requires managing schedules
• Oversee the execution of the project life cycle through completion and delivery to the client by proactively guiding projects through internal systems, ensuring all approvals are obtained, timelines are monitored and edited as needed, and participating in project-related meetings as needed
• Engage in contingency planning and recommend solutions, alert project team if project timeline extends beyond the originally set parameters
• Negotiate/communicate with creative, marketing strategy and production team members every step of the way
• Train end-users to ensure that they understand how to work in the project management system and within the agreed-upon workflow
• Manage and drive weekly status meetings to understand incoming project work, resources, etc.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2+ years of project management experience – a marketing background is recommended
• Understanding of print, digital, social channels
• Extremely detailed oriented and organized
• Excellent writing and communication skills
