Marketing Proposal Coordinator

Timmons Group is seeking Marketing Proposal Coordinators with direct experience in infrastructure engineering and/or geospatial technology proposals to join our dynamic Marketing Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys collaborating with technical teams to develop winning proposals for public-sector clients.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing proposals for infrastructure projects such as transportation, water/wastewater, stormwater, site development, or similar civil engineering disciplines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead proposals for infrastructure and geospatial pursuits, including but not limited to, RFP, RFQ, and SOQ responses for local, state, and federal clients—primarily in VA and NC with occasional support in other markets.
• Manage the full proposal process: schedule and lead kickoff/review meetings, set timelines, track deadlines, and coordinate team inputs.
• Write, edit, and organize content—project descriptions, resumes, technical narratives, and executive summaries—with a focus on civil/infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with technical staff to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling, client-focused messaging.
• Develop and maintain marketing collateral such as project sheets, staff bios, and boilerplate content.
• Research market trends, track leads, and gather competitive intelligence to support business development.
• Maintain accurate pursuit records and assist with CRM (Deltek Vantagepoint) updates.
• Support business development activities, including events, award submissions, and digital content coordination.

Skills/Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience developing proposals for infrastructure engineering projects preferred, other AEC experience nice to have.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, especially for technical and client-focused narratives.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams).
• Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM software is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
