Job Description - Marketing Specialist


Description



We’re seeking a marketing specialist to work cross-functionally, assisting the Property & Recording vertical marketing team with a variety of projects, including project management, campaign planning, event coordination, and content development. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager with excellent copywriting skills, a quick grasp of marketing technology platforms, and experience with email, social media, and performance reporting through tools like Google Analytics and Power BI.  The role requires collaboration with others for project planning and the ability to work independently to execute multiple concurrent campaigns and projects. The marketing specialist will have a positive impact on the division by delivering campaigns that raise awareness, generate leads, and create loyalty among the division’s prospects and clients. The work of the marketing specialist will enhance the brand, position Tyler for consideration, and help close new business. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement innovative, multi-faceted marketing campaigns, which may include email, podcast episodes, blogs, print, social media, web content, webinars, infographics, advertising, videos, and in-person touchpoints with clients and prospects.
  • Be curious and collaborative – engage internal subject matter experts to learn about our products and our client’s needs to develop more informative and targeted content and campaigns.
  • Become adept in the Tyler voice and writing style, to write effective, compelling content and ensuring that messaging is consistent and drives the key messages in an impactful way.
  • Track project, campaign, and advertising results to report on the impact of work.
  • Manage projects so assigned deliverables are completed on time and with efficient use of resources.
  • Work independently on projects with some oversight from manager; engage collaboratively with team and clients as needed
  • Stay abreast of industry and marketing best practices, trends, ideas, tools, and technology.
  • Utilize department technology to manage workflow – CoSchedule and Confluence for all campaign planning, TyCAT for project management, Marketo for email campaigns, Teams for project collaboration, and others as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of marketing experience
  • An understanding of marketing communications vehicles, including email, direct mail, collateral, video, web, and trade shows, advertising
  • Experience effectively managing a variety of marketing projects and timelines.
  • Strong writing skills and experience
  • Knowledge of AP style
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • An understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
  • A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectations.
  • Technology/software industry and public sector experience preferred.
