Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Masonry Foreman to lead crews specializing in retaining wall construction using concrete block systems. This position is responsible for supervising day-to-day field operations, ensuring retaining walls are built to specifications, and maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards. This is a hands-on leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise crews constructing retaining walls, including segmental retaining wall (SRW) systems
• Plan, assign, and oversee daily work activities related to excavation, base preparation, drainage, block placement, and backfill
• Read and interpret site plans, wall layouts, elevations, and project specifications
• Ensure retaining walls are built to manufacturer requirements and engineering specifications
• Monitor grade, alignment, compaction, drainage, and wall stability
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials needed for retaining wall installation
• Train and mentor crew members on proper retaining wall installation techniques
• Enforce company policies, job site safety rules, and OSHA standards
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure walls meet structural and visual standards
• Communicate daily progress, issues, and material needs to supervisors or project managers

•  Proven experience in retaining wall construction (SRW or similar systems required)
• Previous foreman or crew lead experience preferred
• Strong understanding of base prep, drainage, geogrid, compaction, and backfill practices
• Ability to read construction drawings and wall layouts
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with engineered retaining wall systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and schedules

Work Environment:

• Outdoor construction job sites
• Physically demanding work
• PPE required at all times

Work Schedule

• Monday through Saturday
• Hours may vary based on job site and operational needs
