Massage Therapist

As a Massage Therapist, you will play an essential role in creating personalized wellness experiences for our members and guests through professional massage therapy and body treatments in a luxury spa environment.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Massage Therapist who is dedicated to delivering exceptional service, creating a comfortable and relaxing experience, and providing treatments that support each guest’s individual wellness goals.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:

Every service is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a guest’s wellness journey. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing professional massage therapy and body treatments in accordance with AquaVie Spa protocols and California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) requirements


• 
  Greeting guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming experience, and performing treatments within the appropriate service time allotted
  • Preparing treatment rooms according to spa standards, including cleaning, sanitizing, restocking, and completing assigned side work duties
  • Performing massage and body treatments using safe, professional techniques while ensuring guest comfort, proper draping, and discretion at all times
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of all spa treatments, including indications, contraindications, and treatment protocols
  • Educating guests on spa services, wellness offerings, and recommended retail products for continued home care
  • Properly caring for equipment, maintaining treatment areas, and reporting any maintenance concerns promptly
  • Following product usage guidelines and treatment protocols to support quality service and cost control
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor in alignment with AquaVie grooming standards
  • Maintaining knowledge of professional products, ingredients, and contraindications
  • Attending required team meetings, trainings, and ongoing education opportunities
  • Following safety procedures, participating in safety programs, and completing injury reporting requirements as needed
  • Communicating any guest or team member concerns to management in a timely and professional manner
  • Handling guest concerns with professionalism, courtesy, and a solutions-focused approach
  • Supporting overall spa operations and assisting with additional duties as requested by management
  • Maintaining schedule flexibility to support the variable demand for massage services

What We’re Looking For:

• Current certification through the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) required
  • Thorough knowledge of various massage modalities and body treatments
  • Ability to provide personalized wellness experiences based on guest needs
  • Strong communication skills and a guest-focused mindset
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of guest and hotel information
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach
  • Basic computer knowledge

Physical Requirements

• Frequent or occasional reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time


• Frequent use of hands for grasping, turning, and finger dexterity


• Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally


• Ability to view small print and observe details clearly


• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members


• Ability to hear and respond to alarms, emergency equipment, telephone calls, and communication devices

Additional Information:

This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Weekend availability is required. A flexible schedule is necessary based on business needs, including availability to accommodate changing massage service demands.
