Master Data Senior Specialist

Summary

A Master Data Senior Specialist monitors and examines master and key data within Duracell. Her/his main goal will be to ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to ensure data quality, to identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through process control and improvement, or process design strategies. This position will be part of Global Business Services located in the San Jose, Costa Rica area. The individual may be also required to provide input to or participate in various projects and will perform other duties as requested. This role will report to the Master Data Manager.

• Responsible for owning, maintaining, and consulting on 4-5 MDM data objects (Mainly on Vendor Master Data, Pricing and Finance Master Data- Profit Centers Cost Centers, GL Accounts in SAP, while supporting Material Master and Customer Master Data for Americas Region. 
• Act as Master Data subject matter expert (SME) – researching and resolving MDM issues
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather required information and execute Business master data needs and constantly seek opportunities to automate/improve processes. 
• Enforce established data standards and guidelines.
• Prepare Master Data load files and/or manually input the changes directly into SAP.
• Responsible for following the governance of new products going into the system that do not meet the set business requirements.
• Responsible for following standards, guidelines, processes, and expertise to consistently address recurring strategic enterprise master data issues.
• Engaging and collaborating with senior leaders and peers in evolving Master Data Management within the organization’s applications and processes
• Maintain business ready data in SAP and comply with service level agreements as defined in the teamwork flow.
• Responsible for supporting the testing of MDM change requests/ MD projects. 
• Responsible for data migration activities for migrating to S4 HANA for Americas. 
• Monitor recurring exception reports and initiate data clean-up opportunities.

Must-Have 

• Bachelor’s Degree in- Computer Science, Data/ERP systems, Business Administration, Product Supply, Finance, or other related field; or provable working experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience mandatory
• Accurate data entry skills, attention to detail and follow-up abilities required.
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English mandatory.

Nice-to-Have 

• Preferred experience working in an ERP environment SAP ECC or S4 Hana -SD /MM/FICO modules
• Preferred experience with Master Data
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours in peak seasons while working with international teams.
