General Summary:
Assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.
Reports to: Parts Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Stocks and post incoming orders
- Assists parts manager in processing stock orders
- Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive
- Pull parts for technician team as requested
- Returns parts as needed
- Returns cores in a timely matter and follows up for receipt of credit
- Assists in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory
- Assists in annual parts return
- Assists with parts department telephone coverage
- Keeps parts area clean and uncluttered
- Keeps shipping and receiving bay area clean and uncluttered
- Maintains professional appearance
- Other tasks as assigned

- Ability to navigate Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Google Drive.
- Ability to safely use a pallet jack and hand dolly
- Savvy in the operation of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Nevada driver’s license
- Clear background check
- Ability to pass pre-employment Federal drug screen
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including (but not limited to) summer heat and winter cold. It will, at times, be necessary for the Parts Inventory Clerk to access vehicles that are extremely hot due to sun exposure on the dealership’s lot. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Although the interior of the dealership is air conditioned, there may be times when the temperature is warmer or colder inside based on the frequency with which parts doors are opened and closed.
